Quality Soil is Essential, control your pH
Cannabis plant comes from the same origins as potatoes and tomatoes. Light, well ventilated tomatoe soil from your local show will do nicely. PH should balance around 5.8 - 6.5 for most cannabis plants. Control your pH levels daily and apply dolomite or lime to increase the pH. Germinate cannabis seeds separately and than move to soil.
Don't overwater your cannabis plants!
Water every 2-4 days depending on how fast your soil dries. Too much water everyday can kill young marijuana plants. Allow soil surface in pots to get crusty. Test by putting your finger 3 inches under the soil, if no moisture, then water thoroughly, than allow the soil to dry again. Tap water must rest 24 hours to get rid of chlorine, check water pH before watering.
Don't kill your plant with too much fertilizing!
Your tomatoe soil will easily sustain young plants for first 2 weeks of life after germination of cannabis seeds. When adding fertilizer to water add half of recommended amount and only every second watering. Fertilizers buildup can damage your plants growth. Use specialized NPK fertilizer for the vegetative stage, and less N(itrogen) and more Phosphorous and Potassium fertilizer for flowering. General fertilizer advice is better less than too much.
Cannabis Oriented Environment
Low humidity, average temperature, enough air circulation and lots of light are the vital factors of healthy indoor cannabis garden. Work to keep these consistent. Everyday care and health check is a must. Pests will not have a chance, mould will stay away and marijuana will flourish.
DO NOT Harvest Too Early
Being patient pays off 200%. Examine your buds, look at pestiles and trichomes and wait to gain more weight of your yield. The perfect moment is when trichomes get amber in color and misty. Or when 50% of the pistils have turned brown. Harvest over a weed basing on individual bud appearance to get them at their most mature.
Curing really matters for taste and potency!
Do not just dry fast and smoke! Cure your harvest in order to smoke it without damaging your lungs and getting the best taste out of your buds. Hang them up side down for 4 weeks in a NOT humid, dark, cold place with good ventilation for drying. When 99% dry put them for 2 weeks in an air tight container, remove and reorder daily, exchange air to prevent mould. And voila! Chlorophyl free, great tasting bud.
